The blog of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) has published the article “DOAJ and EZB: Working together for more visibility of information on publishing”. The article highlights how the open data exchange between DOAJ and EZB improves the visibility of information on publishing in journals and contributes to greater cost transparency.
As part of openCost, numerous functions have been added to the EZB: it now offers institution- and journal-specific information on publishing, publication costs and funding opportunities. To provide researchers with targeted support in the publication process, information is imported from the DOAJ and made visible in the EZB. In this way, the cooperation between the EZB and DOAJ helps to bundle scattered information and make it easier for researchers to find – an important contribution to more orientation in the complex publication system.
